Steven Jay Sutton formerly of Wamego, KS, died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Eureka Nursing Center in Eureka, at the age of 54.
Steven was born September 11, 1962, in Manhattan, KS, the son of Lyle Arthur and Mary Virginia (Riniker) Sutton. He was raised in Wamego and attended local schools. Following his schooling, he worked various jobs, before starting a career as an operator/mechanic at the Wamego City Power Plant; until a motorcycle accident left him unable to work. Steven remained in Wamego with his brother and his many friends, until his health forced him to move to Eureka to be closer to his sister.
He is survived by one brother, Craig Sutton of Wamego, KS; and one sister, Jeanette Sutton of Eureka. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will take place at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 7, 2017, at the Trinity Baptist Church in Wamego, KS, with Sr. Pastor Tony Mattia officiating. Cremation has been effected.
