Owen Foster “Pud” Click, of Eureka, KS, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at his home in Eureka, at the age of 94.
Owen was born March 1, 1923, in Sallyards, KS, the son of Elbridge A. and Margaret (Foster) Click. He attended local schools and graduated with the Eureka High School Class of 1941. Following graduation, he went into the Army Airforce, where he served during World War II with dignity and honor. Upon completion of his service to his country, Pud returned home and began a 38-year career working as a line foreman for KPL. He retired in 1985, and spent time playing golf, hunting, fishing, and bowling.
On July 18, 1947, he was united in marriage to Violet Rose Duncan in Eureka. They made their home in Eureka. Violet preceded him in death on October 29, 2013. Pud was a member of the First Christian Church of Eureka; Eureka Country Club; National Rifle Association; VFW Post #2712; and Greenwood County Wildlife Association.
He is survived by two children: daughter, Terri Tomison of Wichita, KS; and son, Randy Click of Augusta, KS; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Max Click of Kansas City, MO; and Bill Click of Rochester, MN; and one sister, Irene Courter of Osawatomie, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Violet; infant daughter, Karen Sue; brother Elbridge, J Click, Jr.; and two sisters: Annalee Scolaut and Donna Click.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, June 23, at Koup Family Funeral Home with Mr. Jayme Koup officiating. Condolences may be left for the family online, at koupfunerals.com.
