Meghan Elise Morton of Eureka, lost her battle with alcoholism on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, in Eureka, at the age of 31.
She was born on September 28, 1984, in Wichita, the daughter of Travis Leo and Kristy Kay (Morton) Criman. She was raised in Haysville and graduated from Campus High School with the Class of 2002. She later attended Cowley County Community College.
She loved the arts, and was a painter. She enjoyed writing poetry, traveling, and writing, playing, and listening to music with her friends and family.
She is survived by her parents, Travis & Kristy Criman of Eureka; maternal grandmother, Flo Morton of Eureka; three sisters, Heather Criman of Wichita; Jordan Sandoval of Wichita; Lexi Criman of Eureka; and one brother, Treyson Criman of Eureka.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 27, 2016 at Koup Family Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Rouse officiating. Cremation has been effected. A private family inurnment will follow at Reece Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to MEM’s Scholarship Fund. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which is in charge of service arrangements.
