Mary Lou Stuber
Mary Lou Stuber of Eureka, died on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Greenwood County Hospital, in Eureka, at the age of 85.
Mary Lou was born on May 22, 1929 in Eureka, Kansas the daughter of Orville and Eva (Horton) Divine. She was raised in Eureka graduating from Eureka High School. She worked for Bell Telephone as an operator for several years. Mary Lou then stayed home to take care of her children and help on the family farm. She was an avid piano player and sang at many weddings.
On May 31, 1947 she was united in marriage to Loren A. Stuber. He preceded her in death.
She attended the First United Methodist Church of Eureka. Mary Lou also volunteered at the Greenwood County Hospital as a pink lady and was past President.
She is survived by son, Larry Stuber of Eureka; daughters, Linda Rohrer of Owasso, Oklahoma; and Carolyn Dukes of Wichita; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Diane McMullen of Eureka; and brothers, Don Divine of Eureka; and Dave Divine of Sawyer. She was preceded in death by her sister, Maxine Carson and brother, Orville Divine Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 27, 2015 at Koup Family Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Baker of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Greenwood County Hospital or the Greenwood County Hospital Auxiliary. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
