Curk Bradly Creed

Curk Bradly Creed of Eureka, died on Friday, April 18, 2025, near Severy, at the age of 64.

He was born on April 27, 1960, in Hutchinson, the son of Franklin Francis and Beverly Jeanette (Franz) Creed. He was raised in Derby and graduated from Derby High School with the Class of 1978. He was very proud of his time playing football for the Derby Panthers. After his schooling, he started working at Pioneer Aluminum which would later become Transtar Metals. He later worked for Spares Aerospace where he was an engineer. On July 1, 2017, Curk was united in marriage to Susan Ann (Dolan) Roberts in Eureka. Their wedding day marked the beginning of a deeply cherished partnership, and in Eureka, their two families lovingly became one. In Eureka, Curk worked for Pearson Materials.

Family was paramount to Curk, and he especially treasured his role as a doting "Poppy" to his beloved grandchildren, creating lasting memories with each of them. His enthusiasm extended to the world of sports, where he was a devoted fan of both the Kansas City Chiefs, passionately cheering them on, and the Wichita State Shockers, following their games with keen interest. Beyond his passions, Curk was known for his unwavering dedication to his work, his ability to captivate listeners with engaging stories, his knack for delivering jokes that brought smiles to faces, and a warm, comforting presence that earned him the affectionate description of being like a big teddy bear. In his leisure time, Curk also found pleasure and relaxation on the golf course as well as cruising on his Harley.

He is survived by his wife, Suzi of the home; three children: Sarah Ann and husband, Eric J. Powell of Wichita; Robert “Shane” Groff of Wichita; and Matthew Aaron and wife, Aubrey Creed of Wichita; three step-daughters: Jennifer LeAnn and husband, Tommy White of Eureka; Sammantha Jo Sharpe of Eureka; and Tiffany Nicole King of Springfield, Missouri; his father and step-mother, Frank and Judy Spencer Creed of Euless, Texas; and stepfather, Elwyn Wayne Loving of Derby; eleven grandchildren: Brandon, Tristan, Owen, Gracie, Andee Jo, Dylan, Sullivan, Levi, Lexi, Jaxon, and Tucker; one great-granddaughter, Arya; and three siblings: Karla LeeAnn Seymore of Mulvane; Cade Raymond Loving of Anchorage, Alaska; and Kim Diane Loving of Wichita. He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed by all these loved ones and more. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Jeanette (Franz) Loving, and one brother, Craig Alan Creed.
